THE INVITE is a speakeasy-inspired micro-wedding and event venue located in Guelph, Ontario. For the purposes of privacy law, we are the "organization" responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

  • Text message (SMS) communications: phone number and consent status, provided when you opt in to receive booking reminders or promotional texts.

  • Communications: any information you share with us via email, phone, or in-person consultations.

b) Information collected automatically

  • Analytics data: pages visited, time on site, device/browser type, and general location, collected through Google Analytics and Squarespace's built-in analytics.

  • Advertising/social pixel data: through Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel and TikTok Pixel, which help us understand site activity and show relevant ads. These tools may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, and may combine this with information they hold about you as a user of their platforms.

We do not knowingly collect payment card information through our website; any deposit or payment processing is handled through our designated payment provider, subject to their own privacy and security practices.

In compliance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL):

  • We will only send you marketing emails or text messages if you have provided express consent (e.g., checking a signup box, or verbally providing your number/email and confirming you'd like to receive messages).

  • Every marketing email will identify THE INVITE as the sender, include our contact information, and provide a working unsubscribe mechanism.

  • Every marketing text message will identify us as the sender and explain how to opt out (e.g., replying "STOP").

  • You may withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing, replying STOP, or contacting us directly using the information in Section 1.

  • Booking-related transactional messages (e.g., confirmations, reminders, contract details) may be sent as part of our service to you and are separate from promotional marketing consent, though we will always honour a request to stop all texts.

Standard message and data rates may apply to SMS communications.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

  • Service providers who help us operate our business (e.g., booking/scheduling software, email marketing platforms, SMS platforms, website hosting via Squarespace, analytics providers, payment/deposit processors). These providers are only permitted to use your information to perform services on our behalf.

  • Advertising platforms (Meta, TikTok, Google) for the purpose of analytics and targeted advertising, as described above.

  • Legal or regulatory authorities, if required by law.

Some of our service providers may store or process data outside of Canada (including in the United States), where it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction, including potential access by government authorities.
